The Obamas Confirm Their Visit To TnT

We are set to host the Summit in the month of April and our Prime Minister is making every effort to ensure that we show our best face to the world. Trinidad and Tobago will indeed be showcased to the world by the many international media set to visit our shores. There has also been a rumor that President Barrack Obama would not be coming to Trinidad and Tobago for the Summits of the Americas. Au contraire! Prime Minister Patrick Manning has produced a letter that served to dispel these rumors.

Apparently, President Barrack Obama wrote a letter to Patrick Manning stating that he was indeed coming. Manning proudly recited the letter to the nation which stated  as follows: “Dear Mr Prime Minister, thank you for your letter inviting me to participate in the Fifth Summit of the Americas … I appreciate the gracious invitation for my wife to accompany me as well as your warm welcome to our entire delegation. I am pleased to confirm that I will attend the summit. Given the challenges we face globally and regionally, I understand the importance of this event. I look forward to meeting with my 33 democratically elected counterparts and to working with you to achieve success for our region.” The President and his 1,000 delegation are set to arrive with 25 aircrafts.

And we the people of T&T should be proud to welcome the most powerful political leader in the world

President Obama has well qualified staff, some of whom write correspondence. I am pretty sure this was not hand witten by Mr. Obama himself. Manning read that letter like a little boy with a new toy. “The Obamas are coming! With a delegation of over 1,000 too! So too are the Venezuelians! Trinidad and Tobago stands to benefit from this summit ladies and gentlemen!” blah blah blah. We will benefit in the same manner that we benefitted from the cricket world cup and hosting the Miss Universe pageant of course. Do some research people!!! None of the other countries that hosted the previous summits have benefitted in any way!!! There was no long term benefit to any of those countries. Nuff said.

  2. Trinidad Top Heavy, What i am trying to say is, The northern range is where all the mountains is located, plus all of the sky scrapers and first world overpass and so on are been constructed, think about it on an island surrounded by water, most of the development is focus in ths north of the island, and it is very clear to see what has already start happening down at the sonthern side of the island, the Hon. Minister Of Works And Transport Clom Imbert discribes it as i storm and hope it will pass on its own, While Thousands of hard working citizen living in Point Fortin/ Fyzabad/ La Brea /Palo Seco/ Erin.and environs, has to suffer for long hours after a hard days work, for transport to get to their homes, when the mosquito creek flood, and you Mr. Minister fail to even repair the road through woodland or even come up with a solution to this problem, shame on you Mr. Imbert, Mr Minister i am not sure if your first world over pass will solve the traffic problem, and would like to see You and all the members of parlament caught up in traffic on top of that overpass and watch it fall with all of you on top of it. because of big idea of spending money to develop port of spain ,and not building that over pass down at the mosquito creek, shame on you, another thing is that water taxi.Mr Minister the flood on the mosquito creek alone has shown you your service has fail the people of Piont Fortin which is a PNM strong hold, think about it 22 million spent on SUV while the owners of cars and trucks from Point Fortin has to drive througt the sea and even lose their life to get home, and you has the nerve to talk about PH transport, shame on you Clom, when over the years is the PH cars taking shame from your eyes because of your unreliable transport service, shame on you and the PNM and i think Mr. Obama should know about all the coruption that is taking place here in Trinidad.
